-Preservation of NEW ROADS-
Hello Neighbors,
In an effort to preserve investment in the new roads, we are looking at attempting to limit the number of various trash haulers coming through the neighborhood to a single hauler for everyone. Initial outreach was made to the Independence Township Board and at this time they are not looking to get involved in implementing a township single waste hauler program.
Because of this, the goal is to accomplish this as individual homeowners. The HOA cannot pay for this with the annual dues due to covenants, collections, and if people do not pay their account the HOA will have to cover their costs.
Surrounding townships have successfully implemented a single waste service. For example, Orion and Waterford Township. In an effort to have the Independence Township Board adopt this, we are asking you to please contact the Independence Township Board and express your concerns.

We currently have over 90% of the CHFHOA using Community Disposal. We are asking for your help to share information with your neighbors to make the switch to Community Disposal. Some key points in switching to Community Disposal to help preserve our investments in the new roads:
1. Less noise & air pollution, less heavy trucks on the roads causing damage. 2. Safer with less trucks driving through. 3. Garbage is out only ONCE per week.
