To refresh your memory, the amendments are briefly described as follows:

 

Amendment 1: gives the Association the ability to provide trash pick-up services.
Amendment 2: gives the Association the ability to recover all reasonable costs and fees associated with collecting delinquent dues and assessments.
Amendment 3: gives the Association the ability to propose and execute projects to maintain our roads.

 

Here are the current vote totals (as of 3/18/17):

Amendment 1: 82 yes, 41 no
Amendment 2: 77 yes, 45 no (one ballot had no preference marked for this amendment)
Amendment 3: 82 yes, 41 no

 

There are twelve homes that have not yet cast ballots. That includes five homes that have changed hands since the initial balloting and have not yet cast a ballot. (The ballots cast by the previous owners – both yes and no votes – have been discarded.)

 

Ninety “yes” votes are required for an amendment to pass, or 2/3 of the 135 homes in the Association.

 

At the annual meeting in June, 2016, the homes in attendance voted to keep the voting for these amendments open indefinitely.  As long as the voting is open, homeowners who have already cast ballots may change their votes by submitting a new ballot.
